Rustic oven baked creamy potatoes

Ingredients (i)
1200 g potatoes - peel and cut into slices of 0,5 centimetre
500 ml heavy cream 36%
salt - to your taste
black pepper - freshly ground from a pepper mill, to your taste
Instructions
- Prepare all ingredients according to the list above and read through the recipe before starting
- Preheat oven to
200 °C - Arrange (i) in layers in an ovenproof dish1200 g potatoes
- Keep the best looking slices for the top layer
- Season with (i)salt, black pepper
- Pour (i) over500 ml heavy cream 36%
- Bake in the oven for 60 minutes (timer) until golden brown
- Serve
Notes
If you want to save on the calories you can use half cream and half milk but you will lose some of the creaminess and the traditional flavour of the dish
