Instructions

  • Prepare all ingredients according to the list above and read through the recipe before starting
  • Add (i) into a bowl and stir it together
    1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar, 1 tablespoon water, 2 tablespoons white rice vinegar, 80 ml light soy sauce, 1 tablespoon cane sugar, 1,5 tablespoons maize starch
  • Add (i) and stir it around to coat
    700 g flank steak
  • Let it rest to marinade for 30 minutes
  • Add (i) into a bowl and stir it together
    60 ml light soy sauce, 1 tablespoon maize starch, 1 tablespoon cane sugar, 0,5 beef stock cube, 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • Put aside for later
  • Heat a sauté pan big enough for the final dish and add (i)
    2 tablespoon olive oil
  • Add the marinated beef including the marinade and cook undisturbed on high heat for 1 minute
  • Fry and stir, about 4 minutes
  • Season with (i)
    salt, black pepper
  • Put aside for later on a plate
  • Return the same pan to the heat
  • Add (i)
    2 tablespoon olive oil
  • Add (i) and fry and stir gently for 2 minutes
    4 cloves garlic, 2 spring onions, 2 teaspoons ginger root
  • Stir in (i) to deglaze the pan, to release all the flavours
    300 ml water
  • Add (i) and cook until it has softened, about 2-3 minutes, stirring now and then
    500 g broccoli
  • Add the beef broth mix and bring to a simmer for 4-5 minutes, cover with a lid
  • Return the flank steak to the pan
  • Add (i) and cook and stir until warmed through and crisp, about 2-3 minutes
  • Adjust the seasoning with (i)
    salt, black pepper
  • Sprinkle with (i)
    spring onions
  • Serve

Notes

If the stem of the broccoli is too “dry” just cut or peel it away
