  • Add (i)
    1200 g pork spare ribs

2 onions, 70 g tomato paste, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 2 tablespoons dark soy sauce, 1 tablespoon light honey, 2 tablespoons water, 2 teaspoons dried rosemary, salt, black pepper
  • Let it run for several minutes until you obtain a smooth texture
  • Spread ⅓ of the mix on the back side of the ribs
  • Turn the ribs
  • Spread the rest of the mix on the front side of the ribs
  • Bake in the oven for 75 minutes (timer)
  • If necessary leave them an extra few minutes under the grill to add more colour
  • Take it out of the oven
  • Serve

Notes

To make the blender run more smoothly, you can add a bit more water
You can also use pork back ribs which is a cheaper cut. The difference is that pork back ribs are taken from the animals back at the upper part of the ribcage and have different size in each end, while spare ribs come from the lower part and have more fat and meat and have a equal size at each end
