Instructions

  • Prepare all ingredients according to the list above and read through the recipe before starting
  • Mix (i) together in a large bowl and knead it to a good consistency
    1 celeriac, 150 g oats, 4 eggs, 200 g cheddar cheese, 6 cloves garlic, 1 teaspoon ground cumin, 1 teaspoon chili flakes, 4 tablespoons dark soy sauce
  • Season with (i)
    salt, black pepper
  • Mix everything together
  • Heat a frying pan and add (i)
    2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Shape the celeriac mince into small veggie-steaks with your hand and a tablespoon and place them into the frying pan
  • Fry on both sides until golden brown
  • Serve

Notes

You can replace the cheddar cheese with a similar type of cheese
If you make a large portion, you can keep it warm in the oven at low temperature
If you have stored some in the freezer, defrost them in the fridge and fry them in a pan to make them crispy again
