Instructions

  • Prepare all ingredients according to the list above and read through the recipe before starting
  • Preheat oven to 200 °C
  • Fill a casserole with water
  • Add (i)
    1000 g small potatoes, salt, 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • Bring to a simmer and let it simmer for 20 minutes (timer) with the lid on
  • Make sure the potatoes are cooked, check with a meat needle or a knife
  • Drain off the water
  • Add the potatoes to a baking tray with baking paper
  • Flatten each with a large fork or a potato masher, keeping them in one piece
  • Drizzle with (i)
    60 ml olive oil
  • Season with (i)
    salt, black pepper
  • Bake in the oven for 30 minutes (timer), or until golden brown
  • Serve

Notes

The purpose of adding olive oil is to avoid the potatoes from boiling over
The thinner you smash the potatoes the more crispy they get, choose your thickness according to your liking
