Grilled potatoes flavoured with herbes de Provence are a delicious and simple side dish option for any meal. The potatoes are sliced and then grilled until they are crispy on the outside and still tender on the inside. The herbes de Provence adds this special Provence flavour to the potatoes, making them ideal for Mediterranean dishes

Instructions

  • Prepare all ingredients according to the list above and read through the recipe before starting
  • Fill a casserole with water
  • Add (i)
    1 large potato, salt
  • Bring to a simmer and let it simmer for 20 minutes (timer) with the lid on
  • Make sure the potatoes are cooked, check with a meat needle or a knife
  • Drain off the water
  • Let them cool down in room temperature until use
  • Heat a grill pan on high heat
  • Cut the potatoes into slices of 1 centimetre lengthwise
  • Brush both sides with (i)
    1 teaspoon olive oil
  • Season with (i)
    salt, 2 teaspoon herbes de Provence
  • Grill on both sides until you see nice single strips of grill marks, about 3 minutes each side
  • Serve

Notes

The purpose of adding olive oil is to prevent the potatoes from boiling over
Make sure the grill pan is made for high heat, and follow the instructions for the use of the grill pan
