Ingredients (i)
 

  • broccoli500 g broccoli - cut into florets and lengthwise if too big, cut the stem lengthwise in quarters and then into smaller pieces - rinse before use
  • garlic8 cloves garlic - peel and cut into slices
  • sunflower oil2 tablespoons sunflower oil
  • parmesan cheese100 g parmesan cheese - Parmigiano reggiano, finely grate
  • saltsalt - to your taste
  • black pepperblack pepper - freshly ground from a pepper mill, to your taste

Instructions

  • Prepare all ingredients according to the list above and read through the recipe before starting
  • Preheat oven to without fan200 °C
  • Bring a large casserole of water to the boil
  • Cook (i) in salted water until tender but still al dente, about 4 minutes
    500 g broccoli, salt
  • Drain the water of the broccoli
  • Put aside for later
  • Heat a frying pan and add (i)
    2 tablespoons sunflower oil, 8 cloves garlic
  • Cook on low heat until softened
  • Add the broccoli to the pan and mix it all well together at high heat for a few minutes
  • Season with (i)
    black pepper, salt
  • Transfer it to an ovenproof dish
  • Sprinkle with (i)
    100 g parmesan cheese
  • Bake in the oven for 20 minutes (timer) until golden brown
  • If necessary leave them an extra few minutes under the grill to add more colour
  • Serve

Notes

The broccoli can possibly be cut into smaller pieces after the cooking if you prefer that 
You can replace the parmesan cheese with a similar type of cheese
