Passion fruit panna cotta is an Italian dessert made with passion fruit and cream. It has a smooth creamy and silky texture with the freshness of the passion fruit. It is typically set in individual moulds and served chilled and is a refreshing and elegant dessert perfect for any occasion

Ingredients (i)
 

Instructions

  • Prepare all ingredients according to the list above and read through the recipe before starting
  • Add (i) into a bowl with cold water
    2,5 gelatine leaves
  • Put aside for later
  • Mix (i) together in a bowl
    200 ml milk 1,5%, 300 ml heavy cream 36%
  • Take out a casserole
  • Add ½ of the mixture and warm it on low heat
  • Add (i)
    4 passion fruits, 80 g white sugar
  • Stir until all has dissolved
  • Remove from the heat
  • Add the gelatine leaves, squeeze them first
  • Stir until all has dissolved
  • Strain it back to the bowl
  • Pour the mix into moulds equal to the number of servings
  • Put in the fridge for minimum 4 hours or until the next day
  • Mix (i) together in a bowl
    4 passion fruits, 1 tablespoon icing sugar
  • Strain it into a bowl
  • Add ⅓ of the seeds in the strainer
  • Adjust with some more icing sugar if needed
  • Take out the panna cottas by briefly dipping the base of the moulds in hot water
  • Pour the mix of passion fruit over
  • Serve

Notes

Can also be made in individual dessert glasses with the mix over
